Born to an Italian mother and Scottish father, Giovanna MacKenna grew up on Scotland’s west coast where the written word formed a lifeboat that carried her safely through childhood difficulties. After lengthy careers as an actor and a journalist, Giovanna was tasked to write a poem – and found she was full of them. She is now a published and commissioned poet. You can find her recent words in Southchild Lit, Abridged, Bear Creek Gazette, The Speculative Book 2021, Tether’s End, Brag, Wet Grain and Visual Verse. She is currently working with The Museum of Loss and Renewal Publishing on her first full collection. David Bleiman writes out of Edinburgh in English, Scots, Spanish, Yiddish and a largely imagined dialect of Scots-Yiddish which won him the Sangschaw  prize in 2020 for The Trebbler’s Tale.  In this first pamphlet The Kilt of Many Colours, published by Dempsey and Windle, he paints a broad canvas, drawing on family heritage and life in Scotland to celebrate the warp and weft of a complex and multilingual identity. Dr Lee Campbell describes himself as ‘a Londoner who makes experimental films and performance poetry about being gay and working class using barbaric wit and humour’. He uses poetry and experimental film as a form of autoethnographic storytelling/sharing of personal narratives often raw, often painful but always generous and authentic. He trained in Fine Art at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London in 2005 and received his doctorate in 2016. He has recently performed at LGBT-centred online poetry events including INCITE!, London Queer Writers, POETRYLGBT,DISTURBANCE, London and BBC Radio. His recent films have been selected for many international queer film festivals including Queerbee LGBT Film Festival, The Gilbert Baker Film Festival, Kansas 2020, HOMOGRAPHY, Brussels and STATES OF DESIRE: Tom of Finland in the Queer Imagination, Casa de Duende, Philadelphia, USA. He has been selected for WICKED QUEER 2021 in Boston, USA, one of the oldest and largest LGBT film festivals in the world and will screen one of his recent films at QUEER LIFE, EdgeZones gallery in Miami in May 2021.
