Teri Metcalfe

Cumbria native Terri Metcalfe moved to Ireland with her Mayo born partner and two children in 2019. From a down-to-earth, tools of the practical trade family, she only recently in her forties thought it acceptable that she might be a serious poet. Terri has endured several decades of mental and physical ill health which she draws on in her work. She has been published in Abridged, A New Ulster, Green Ink Poetry and Spilling Cocoa and is shortly to be published in Skylight 47. She was shortlisted for the Open Window 2023 mentorship programme and will be a featured reader at the 20th anniversary of Over The Edge Literary Events held in Galway city library this coming January.

Jane Ayres

UK based neurodivergent writer Jane Ayres re-discovered poetry studying for a part-time Creative Writing MA at the University of Kent, which she completed in 2019 at the age of 57. In 2020, she was longlisted for the Rebecca Swift Foundation Women Poets’ Prize. In 2021, she was nominated for Best of the Net, shortlisted for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award and a winner of the Laurence Sterne Prize. Her first collection edible was published by Beir Bua Press in July 2022. Her micro-chapbook my lost womb still sings to me is published by Porkbelly Press in 2022/23

Gerry Sarnat

Gerard Sarnat has been nominated for the pending 2022 Science Fiction Poetry Association Dwarf Star Award, won San Francisco Poetry’s 2020 Contest, the Poetry in the Arts First Place Award plus the Dorfman Prize, and has been nominated for handfuls of 2021 and previous Pushcarts plus Best of the Net Awards. Gerry’s been married since 1969 with progeny consisting of four collections (Homeless Chronicles: From Abraham To Burning Man, Disputes, 17s, Melting the Ice King)  plus three kids/ six grandsons  — and is looking forward to potential future granddaughters.

Joanne Durham

Joanne Durham is the author of To Drink from a Wider Bowl, winner of the Sinclair Poetry Prize (Evening Street Press 2022), and the forthcoming On Shifting Shoals (Kelsay Books). Her poems appear in Poetry South, Dodging the Rain, Juniper Poetry Journal, and many other journals and anthologies. She lives on the coast of North Carolina, USA, with the ocean as her backyard and muse.

Mary Ringland

Mary Ringland is a prose writer and poet. She works part-time as a therapeutic counsellor and lives on the beautiful Antrim coast with her partner and her two dogs. Her poems have been published in the Bangor Literary journal and the Community Arts Partnership pamphlet, ‘Over the Threshold’. Mary is also a regular contributor at spoken word events, such as Oooh Beehive, the Belfast Poetry Slam, and the Morecambe Poetry Festival. She is currently in the process of completing her Masters’s in Creative writing with the Open University.

Damien B Donnelly, Producer, Host and Poet

Damien B Donnelly is a 47-year-old Irish, adopted, gay, writer and podcast producer who spent 23 years living in Paris, Amsterdam, and London, returning to Dublin in 2019. In 2020, his debut pamphlet Eat the Storms appeared on the Poetry Book Society Winter List 2020/21 and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize followed by a Stickleback collection, and second Pushcart Prize nomination, in Jan 2021, both published by The Hedgehog Poetry Press. He produces and hosts the poetry podcast Eat the Storms, now in its 6th season with 375+ international guests on over 12 platforms. In the Jitterfritz of Neon, a poetry pamphlet co-written with Eilin de Paor, was published in Jan 2022 followed by his first full collection Enough! on 29th August 2022, for which he was awarded an Agility Award by Arts Council, Ireland. The Fingal Arts have funded his next collection Back from Away. His poetry and short stories have appeared in numerous journals, both online and in print. He is the editor-in-chief of The Storms, a journal of poetry, prose and visual art.
